Hey EA! I hope that you read this, but SimCity as well as all your new games had better be coming to Origin and Steam. For an obviously greedy company, I don't know why you wouldn't want to sell more.

EA: if you are releasing it on Mac, go to App Store route. We all know it, and know it won't be bloated up with your nonsense. Go have a look at Macrumors. They have a huge user base, and they are upset about Origin. NOBODY wants it. Either deliver through the Mac App Store, a physical DVD, or we aren't buying it.

I don't get it if you're releasing the game for Mac, why not just release it for Linux (Ubuntu) as well. Regardless if you're creating a native game or simply wrapping it with Wine, if you're releasing a game on Mac there's no reason you can't release it on Linux (Ubuntu) as well.

I purchased almost all of the Sims 3 downloadable content while using a pc. I have just switched over to a mac. My original Sim 3 game is n a CD and works on either pc or mac, so I am good there. However, am I understanding correctly that I cant download Origin on my Mac? What about all my other Sims games/content? I purchased them and now cant play them? Certainly I am misunderstanding something? I hope that I am still able to get to my games somehow. Please instruct me how.

I have the exact same problem as DebiMacNC and it is very frustrating. I was so happy when I got my Mac because my PC was very slow and I thought playing Sims on my Mac would be so much fun but now I find out that Origin isn't compatible with Mac so I have no idea how to get my games back. Help would be very much appreciated.

Just like Motanie and DebimacNC, i have the same problem. I have bought the original sims games and all of the expansion packs. I decided to buy a Mac and unfortunately found out that I cant play any Origin games because Origin is not compatible. it'd be nice if somehow that since i've paid for the games that you could send me it in cd format.

Same problem as, Bretagne1234, Motanie, and DebimacNC. All of my expansion packs have become obsolete; and for the record, expansion packs are NOT cheap. My PC recently burned out, so I decided to download the sims onto my boyfriends Mac, which in turn was when we both found out that Origins is not compatible with Mac. Being young and living in a poor economy, I'm sure you can understand my disappointment, collecting games for 3-4 years and 200-300 dollars worth are now useless. Fix it.

You can throw me in the same boat as the past four comments. I have a nasty habit of throwing away boxes and manuals and just keeping discs. I own the discs to Sims 3 and about 4 or 5 other expansions. I loaded up Origin on a older Windows computer I own and went to my games and it's only showing The Sims 3 and the Generations expansion. Why isn't it showing ALL my games? It's missing SPORE as well. Anyways, looking forward to February.

So will the PC copy I already preordered also work on my Macbook pro or will I have to cancel that one and buy the mac version instead? I prefer the OSX version if I have the option since my daily-use computer is a macbook pro.

I'm very happy to hear that origin is coming to Mac since I've recently purchased due to my PC burning out. As others have posted I was very upset when I found out I wasn't able to play my Sims games on my mac. I bought the first Sims game as a direct download & majority of my other expansion packs so I do hope that since you're making Origin Mac compatible that I will be able to play the games I've purchased before.
