Exciting news to share - Need for Speed Most Wanted recently secured Apple’s prestigious “Editor’s Choice” placement the week of launch on the iTunes App Store. The game was also featured on the iPhone and iPad store fronts. In addition, EA also scored a coveted Editor’s Choice award for Need for Speed Most Wanted on Google Play - an impressive achievement that signifies the best apps and games available for Android.
It’s been a great few months for our mobile titles with Real Racing 3 demoed live on stage at the Apple iPhone 5 press conference and again at the iPad Mini press conference.
Need for Speed Most Wanted was developed by our Firemonkeys studio in close collaboration with Criterion and boasts new features that make it our most action-packed Need for Speed mobile experience yet. With over-the-top collision mechanics, you can now accrue more detailed damage to your cars than ever before: every smash into walls, competitors, or pursuant cops creates an adrenaline-pumping frenzy of shattered windows, cracked headlights and flying parts. Stunning graphics let you see the world flashing by as you burn rubber.
Need for Speed Most Wanted also marked the first EA game to simultaneously launch across the Apple App Store, Google Play and the Amazon Appstore on the same day as the console product. What’s more is that you can really connect the two experiences across console, PC or mobile. Every event in Fairhaven comes with its own leaderboard or “Speedwall” where you can track how you do against your friends on Android or iOS. Using the CloudCompete technology you can also add to your Speed Points on the mobile game as well as on the console.
It’s already topped the Apple App Store and Google Play top selling charts around the world since launch.
