Battlefield Hardline Beta Update – Now More than Six Million Served

(Update: Thank you to the nearly seven million players that joined the Battlefield Hardline beta.)

There’s been a ton of action through the weekend on the Battlefield Hardline beta and we’re thrilled that now more than six million of you have gotten your hands on the game. We appreciate the response and feedback we have gotten from you in the forums, on social media and while playing with you online.

Now, I know what you’re asking yourself. We’re just five weeks away from the launch of Battlefield Hardline, how could we possibly be acting on that feedback? Well, I can assure you we are. In fact, we’ve already been prioritizing changes for things fans are talking about. So you’ve still got a chance to be heard. The beta will end Monday night, February 9th Pacific Time. So get in there if you haven’t had a chance yet.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank the community one more time. We love the two way dialogue we’ve established.  And now that you’ve driven millions of miles in Hotwire, you’ve stolen billions of dollars in Heist, and you’ve continued to show mad love for Conquest, we can’t wait until you get a chance to play the whole package.  We have seven multiplayer modes, nine diverse maps and a full single player campaign that’s like nothing Battlefield has ever seen before.

Battlefield Hardline is delivering a complete FPS experience, built on strategy, speed and story, and we can’t wait to see you online when the game comes out starting March 17, 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

You guys have done a great job of keeping everything about hardline out there in the wild. I.e preorder dates preloading dates and you have shrugged of the "it's just bf4 dlc and not worth £59.99 or whatever I paired for digital deluxe." This open attitude is a real breath of fresh air from EA affiliated company and you do seem to be listening to the community I happen to mention months before the single player trailer dropped I hope they put the aim point t1 I the game and you did.

So can I ask could you change the RO933 to a more mk18mod0 look the RO is awful. M416 needs a shorter barrel by default and a long barrel when the heavy barrel attachment is on M16 needs removing entirely it's not the die hard swat teams replace with a 16" salient arms weapon nicely modelled Allow the addition of non-functional dress up attachment they give no benefit but will make look tacticool. I.e how the m416 + AFG + laser sight + T1 + suppressor looks like the SEAL TEAM SIX gun

The .338 rounds for the snipers are to powerfull . The have a damage of 16 to vehicles. Trowing a grenade takes to much time.. The scout elite starts with de straithpull. I think it is to easy to play as a sniper for the start. However the game is great. Love it ...

Had a great moment in Heist where I had one of the loot bags, heading up to the top-level parking garage. Three of my teammates were providing cover. All four of us piled into the elevator, and took a ride into what was certain to be an epic firefight. I took a moment to glance at my teammates, and the sight of the group patiently waiting in the elevator was awesome. But one thing was missing: elevator music.

On a more serious note, there seems to be a great opportunity for spawn camping (over the police-side spawn point) up by the glass dome. I don't know if it's normally possible to get up there, but it held an entire squad of snipers during the last few rounds I played, and they made it nearly impossible to leave the spawn site. Also, as many have said, I believe the sniper rifle and shotgun are overpowered. Head-shots are one thing, but "one-shot, one-kill" weapons tend to be overused.

I would like to ask that the camera while driving vehicles in 3rd person allow you to move the camera angle freely. Similar to how you can in GTA 5 vehicles. Other than that, I really enjoy the vehicles that are in Hardline.

I played the Beta all weekend and had a blast, that being said I do have two small complaints. First, there needs to be some dive or roll feature, if a car is coming at you it is like "deer in the headlights" waiting for it to hit you . Secondly during the sandstorm on Conquest, how is it that I can bearly see or drive but snipers have not problem picking me off. Otherwise I think the beta made me decide to preoder Hardline.

The Beta was amazing, kept playing the beta everyday since its release. The only problem that I'm facing as a "Battlefield" Veteran is that the game has like no destruction at all except for levolution, please add destructive walls, Battlefield Bad Company 2 was the best among all. Other than that, The game is perfectly made.

Amazing beta guys, have been playing this quite a bit, level 42 as of now... Though I've got 2 complaints: -As a fast paced gameplay, it still takes too much time to throw a grenade, and after having reloaded it takes too much time to shoot... You're just pressing buttons and it doesn't react... -And there's a bit too much aliasing for a ps4 game... Thx 4 listening to players, gotta go back, De Niro is waiting for me in Heist (Heat) mode streets...

Better Sound: Battlefield 4's sound is amazing, I don't feel that w hardline. The background noise, explosions and guns sound legit. I've noticed the sound on rifles doesn't Echo as much. Sorta cuts off. Tripwire explosions: I'm sure you're well aware of the explosion not happening. Fluidity: leading someone with a 3x-4x scope on a target 75m+ away is a cool experience on bf4. It doesn't seem as fluid on hardline, cant put my finger on what it is though. Maybe It's my thumbs...

I am hooked. I honestly did not think I was going to be saying that about this game (seems like it should be an expansion/mod for BF4 at first)... I have to get it on launch week now. --- My two requests: .Keep ADS/Recoil the way it is, please do not change it to the way it was changed to in BF4 recently. .Can you please add control schemes where L1 is for ADS and R1 for shooting on PS3&PS4? This is how I play BF3 on PS3, the new style is kind of annoying to be forced.

This is a long shot, but could you guys potentially make any future FPS titles have a 90 FoV on consoles? I know this is a long shot request, but the FoV I usually have to put up with on consoles is utterly stupid. Gameplay over graphics, right? At least 85? Please?

How about the option to switch weapons while holding the rpg without dropping it. Maybe give up your secondary weapon?

Great game. Had tons of fun playing. But there are a few issues: Need more destructible maps; snipers should have their sniper rifles slung on their backs when pistols are out; operators should have a back pack like the medics did in bf3; the snipers are slightly hunch backed; and the overall graphics do not seem as sharp as they do in bf4. Other than that, I have really enjoyed playing!
